as if you were a rainbow with gold at both ends. Eight years ago, three days before my wedding, I trashed the dress! The funny thing about this is people really thought it was my real dress when the photos were posted the day before! The dress was one I found at a thrift store in Montana. It had an insane price tag, shoulder pads as high as the Madonna Mountain, long lacy sleeves, and was fully styled from probably the year I was born. When I found it, I cut the sleeves and shoulder pads out to make it appear more modern for this photo shoot. Michael, my photographer, asked where I wanted to do the shoot. I had no idea and he brought up the idea of painting Madonna Mountain and I was all for it. The bun is fake! I did not want to chance possibly getting my hair stained (parts were still pink on my wedding day anyway) so I went to a wig shop and purchased a piece to put my hair inside and protect the length. The other colors took a lot of scrubbing to get off! My wedding photographer had been working on a long-time project for Trash The Dress shoots throughout San Luis Obispo County with his late wife. The project was one they did together and showcased places within the county. This TTD was his last shoot, just a month after her passing. I do not know if he still has photos of the other shoots posted anywhere, but if he does, I would love to share them with you if I find them. I would also love to see her vision complete, as a coffee table style book. Here are the rest.
